PASSAGE OF LANDRIEU OCS
BILL
As Senate Version Awaits
Bush’s Signature, Jindal Claims
Victory
BATON ROUGE –
Bobby Jindal’s arrogance
seems to grow by the day.
As today,
It was Congressman Charlie Melancon
who spoke on the House floor in favor of the
bill, not Jindal. It was Jindal who in the past
few weeks spoke out against the
Landrieu-sponsored bill, pushing his own
version, which opened up oil exploration in
restricted areas and was favored only by
conservative Republicans.
The Senate bill co-sponsored by
Landrieu was passed in its entirety and
received strong bi-partisan favor in both
Houses of Congress. Although Jindal’s version
was rejected, the so-called Whiz Kid of
Washington glows in the limelight once
again.
“Jindal operates with an air of
self-importance and feels that he rightfully
deserves any and all accolades for passage of
this historic measure. It is this same attitude
of entitlement that will hurt
