Announces Communications
Team
BATON ROUGE – Chairman Mike Skinner today
announced the appointment of
Andrew Koneschusky as Communications Director
for the Louisiana Democratic
Party and Emily Sneed as Press Secretary for
the Coordinated Campaign.
Koneschusky and Sneed will round out the
Victory 2004 communications team,
coordinating the party’s paid and earned media
efforts in the presidential,
congressional and other races to ensure
Democratic victories.
“We’re excited to have Andrew and Emily on
board, carrying the Democratic
message of economic opportunity, a stronger
America, affordable healthcare, and
the restoration of our coastline across the
state,” said Skinner. “Getting our
message out will be a critical component to
Democratic success this year.
Andrew and Emily have already hit the ground
running.”
Andrew Koneschusky comes to the Louisiana
Democratic Party after having
served as Deputy Press Secretary in the
national press office of Dean for
America. In that position, he played a key
role in devising and implementing
regional and national earned media strategies,
specifically with regard to television
and radio. Andrew is a graduate of Georgetown
University in Washington, DC.
Emily Sneed has served in the press offices of
U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, Gore-
Lieberman 2000 and the Louisiana Democratic
Party. She has also managed or
handled press for many local and statewide
political campaigns. Emily was born
and raised in Metarie, Louisiana and is a
graduate of the College of Charleston in
South Carolina.
