J. Burton LeBlanc to Take
Helm of Fundraising
Efforts
BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge
attorney J. Burton LeBlanc IV has been named
Finance Director for the Louisiana Democratic
Party, according to Chairman Chris
Whittington.
LeBlanc will spearhead major
fundraising efforts for the Party while working
with its Executive Committee on other fiscal
matters.
“Burton LeBlanc will be a valuable
asset to the Party’s executive committee and we
are honored to have him. Burton is a
proven leader in his field and has an
exceptional reputation for his work on area
charitable and civic causes. His involvement
will help draw more like-minded Democrats into
the Party and we look forward to working with
him,” Whittington said.
A prominent business and civic leader,
LeBlanc is immediate past president of the
Louisiana Association for Justice, (“LAJ”),
f/k/a Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. He
currently serves on the LAJ executive
committee.
A graduate of Louisiana
State
University and Loyola
School of Law, LeBlanc is a shareholder and
founder of LeBlanc and Waddell Law Firm with
principle offices in Baton
Rouge and New
Orleans. In addition,
LeBlanc is of counsel with the national law
firm of Baron & Budd, which has offices in
Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles and Baton Rouge.
LeBlanc concentrates his practice in the
areas of environmental law, securities
litigation and asbestos litigation. He has also
represented governmental entities, including
the State of Louisiana in
complex consumer fraud litigation.
