The St Tammany Parish DPEC and Progressive Northshore Democrats are hosting Dem Fest 08 in Abita Springs on Saturday, September 20th at the Abita Springs Pavilion. Attending and speaking will be a number of democratic candidates and officials, among them Jim Harlan, Roland Belsome, Elsie Burkhalter, Louis Fitzmorris, Bryan Gowland, and Britton Lofton. Our MC will be Edward Deano, former state representative. The event is the premier event in our parish and will feature free music and food. The Pavilion is a beautiful site in the heart of Abita with much historical significance and is a great venue.
